Student Stars Rise on Hippodrome Stage
Camp Hippodrome is a free, exciting, and enriching summer program that allows local middle and high school students, as well as others from the community, to dive into the magical world of professional musical theater.
Middle School/One Week Sessions
This program keeps hundreds of young people engaged and inspired during the summer months with a variety of workshops covering theatre, music, dance, makeup, and more.
Each summer, HFI has planned two 1-week camps and numerous field trip opportunities.
High School/Camp Hippodrome Tech Program
This six-day intensive summer program immerses high school students in the engaging world of stage production.
Along with HFI staff, members of IATSE Local #19 help Baltimore students explore the ins and outs of stage production within the theater industry.
Adult
In addition to the youth programs, HFI extends its reach to the senior citizens of Baltimore County, providing them with a special summer program.
I have experience with the Hippodrome Foundation both as a teacher bringing students from the Baltimore School for Arts to participate and as the Director of Camp Hippodrome for 10+ years. This organization is 100% committed to providing access to the arts and helping young people expand their horizons. What a gem in our city.
