Our wonderful volunteers welcome, guide, and assist patrons, contributing to the center’s success.

The Hippodrome Foundation manages the France-Merrick Performing Arts Center’s Volunteer Usher Program, which engages over 650 community members to provide hospitality services and act as ambassadors for hundreds of thousands of patrons annually. Ushers are critical to the success of our beloved performing arts center—welcoming patrons, scanning tickets, guiding patrons to their seats, assisting in the event of a medical emergency and more.

All of us at the France-Merrick Performing Arts Center are grateful to our diverse and wonderful group of volunteers!

“It’s such a joy to be able to help people enjoy live theatre. What a pleasure to work in a historical theatre with all the people that are here!”
