The Hippodrome Foundation

In addition to presenting the best of live theater in Baltimore, Hippodrome Foundation, Inc. (HFI) is committed to providing access to the Hippodrome - and all of its assets - to people who live in and visit Maryland.

What does that mean? It means our board and staff work hard to develop programs to provide opportunities related to theater for students of all ages. Our Outreach and Education Committees execute programs that make a difference in students' lives - whether that is as a Young Critic reviewing shows, a student attending one of our free matinees or as a dancer from Baltimore School for the Arts participating in a master class. HFI provides tours led by trained docents to teach people about the past and present of the Hippodrome. With the help of the Maryland State Arts Council, Baltimore Promotion & Arts, Baltimore County and other local foundations, we are able to provide these opportunities and others to the Maryland community.

HFI has provided services to thousands of people since the re-opening of the Hippodrome on February 10, 2004. If you would like to become involved with the Hippodrome, I hope you will contact us!
